The Roy and Donna Gilbertson Wade Family

     Roy was born January 24, 1930, at the Sprague Hospital in Huron, S.D.  He was baptized September 26, 1930, at the Episcopal Church in DeSmet. 

     Roy Ellis Wade married Donna Jean Gilbertson on August 31, 1952 at West Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Erwin, S.D.  Roy spent a year in the Marine Corps, stationed in California.  After his discharge from the service, he and Donna returned to South Dakota.  He took over his parents' farming operation when they retired and moved into DeSmet.

     Roy and Donna are still living on that same farm.  Donna has retired from working at the school as a cook.  Roy continues to farm. 

     Roy and Donna have three children:

          1.  Jean Marie, Born March 5, 1954.

          2,  Duane Roy, Born January 13, 1956.

          3.  Mary Margaret, Born March 1, 1960.
